Day 156/365 - Somewhere over the rainbow.....

#%$#% I didn't have my real camera with me so I had to opt for taking this with my cell phone. This was the brightest colored rainbow I have ever seen and it seemed like I could touch it that's how close it looked and I only had my cell phone...

Not so great quality on the pic but I had to deal with this for the shot of the day as the ones on the cam weren't as cool as this.

#@$#!

...skies are blue....

Day 155/365 - Another aerorplane Another sunny place I’m lucky I know.....

We took a walk Saturday morning and came across this new construction one street over from ours. It looks like it will be a pretty nice home, I'll have to check back on it in future days to see the progress of it.....

A little washed out with the sunlight directly overhead in the shot, but I like the angles of the roofline and such...

.....But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I’ve got to go home.....

Day 154/365 - I like to live on the edge.....

Not much today, really didn't have anything and the sun was going down. I snapped this picture before walking back inside with my head held low as I had no inspiration.....

I think the shot came out kind of neat. It gives a cool perspective on a section of our house...

...I like the view from above
I want to do what I want.....

Day 153/365 - Take me out to the ballgame....

Ahhh, what better in the summertime than some good ol' baseball, the summertime classic.... I picked up a new glove last week so I can play catch with CJ as I couldn't find my old one and it was a bit too small for me anyways. Me, the lefty, never get to borrow a glove off someone since most of you out there are righties.. I like being the southpaw...

A nice closeup macro shot of the ball and glove. I used my tripod to get a nice clear shot with the lighting from the living room.

..take me out to the crowd....

Day 152/365 - I DIG, ROCK and Roll music

Some rocks on the beach, I love the look of these 3 rocks here, the colors and the designs on the rock look great. They remind me of tiger. I kept one for safe keeping. These are down in Old Saybrook just sitting there by themselves, well the top left was further on down the way , I had him join the group...

Ok shot from today, I had others, some sand textures, barnacled piers, etc. This is one that you wouldn't expect from all of those beach scenes...

...I could really get it on in that scene.....

Day 151/365 - Things are going great, and they're only getting better I'm doing all right, getting good grades.....

It's a mini Bono! HA, don't I wish. Brendon trying on his new sunglasses for the first time, so cute!!! I will be posting this on Facebook later too of course. Mommy holds him and he looks at his Daddy taking one of his thousands of pictures, he's used to them by now...

Great shot of the little one. I love the bright contrasting colors of his shoes, and Michelle's shirt against the blue and the bright background...

...The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades....

Day 150/365 - Come on baby let's do the twist .....

So the 3x3 Rubik's Cube isn't hard enough they came out with a 4X4. Well apparently the 3x3 is quite easy and people can solve it in under 12 seconds , the record holder's that is. Michelle's cousin Katie can do it in a few minutes, me nah, I can partially do it. Oh well, too much twisting and turning and I forgot which way I was supposed to turn next..

.....We're gonna twisty twisty twisty ....

Day 149/365 - I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride.....

Ok, quiet, no pics to take , I got a few of the baby, but saving those for another day, so I was watching the marathon of Deadliest Catch the past few days and snagged this pic from the screen. The show is somehow so tantalizing and intriguing and keeps sucking us in.... Those crab look tasty now..

I pointed at the TV and snapped a few shots, opted for this one...

....I'm wanted dead or alive. Wanted dead or alive.....

Day 148/365 - Good day sunshine Good day sunshine Good day sunshine.....

Well, we did a bit of yard work last weekend and cleaned up a lot of the falls leaves finally, as well as removed some rhododendrons from in front of the house as well as a huge pile of branches. I dug a few holes (with much trouble, damn boulder) and planted this Hydrangea and one other.

Nice closeup of the flowers on the peppermint Hyrdrangea, you can see the water droplets on the dark green leaves as well. Nice clean, simple shot..

...Then we lie beneath a shady tree
I love her and she's loving me
She feels good, she know she's looking fine I'm so proud to know that she is mine ...

Day 147/365 - All my dreams, pass before my eyes, a curiousity ....

I was curious as to what is at the end of the road from the BJs so I drove down there, a windy road lined with hay bales and it led to this. I large open area with pile and piles of dirt and rock. I guess they are excavating or process rock back there not quite sure, there were plenty of big machines to do the dirty work.

Cool shot because there is no frame of reference for size. The rocks sliding down the hill ahead could be car sized boulders for all the viewer knows, perhaps they are.....

..All we do, crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see, dust in the wind, all we are is dust in the wind...

Day 146/365 - In the jungle the mighty jungle.....

Our cat Leo's fur was very matted for the past few months, we tried our best to try and comb out the fur but it just wouldn't work, so off to the groomer I took him. He was quiet calm for most of his visit there and the groomers took too him quiet well, and now we have our own little lion....

He is a tough one to photograph standing still, so I had to use the flash to capture a still shot on any quick movements he might try and make...

...the lion sleeps tonight....

Day 145/365 - Here I am The one that you love Askin for another day.....

Ok another month, another self portrait, this time with the remote shutter. I just stood here against the tree in the yard and played with the lighting and tried to look cool, hope I had some success with it.

I like the shot, I got to use my remote shutter . Where is the remote you may ask ? Neatly tucked under my arms, hence the folded arms!!! Sneaky, eh ?

....Understand the one that you love
Loves you in so many ways...

For Michelle !

Day 144/365 - I wanna lay you down in a bed of ......

A great little garden/nursery store off the side of Route 20 in Oxford. I pulled over just to check out what they had as we have been doing some gardening around the house. This place does a great job of keeping all of their flowers well watered and healthy. It's called the Farmer's Daughter, kind of a funny name for the place but nonetheless it's a very nice place..

Closeup of the daisies, I couldn't decide what pick to use and I like the look of this one so here it is...

....daisies.....

sorry Bon Jovi... :)

Day 143/365 - Well, you can stake that claim Good work is the key to good fortune.....

Well a day where I actually almost forgot to get a picture in. I started painting my Dungeon and Dragon figure for my bi-weekly game I play. This is a dragonborn figure that I use in the new D&D version 4. It's quite different from the old version I'm used to but I can see how the changes have made it better. Here my character (Churgg) displays his large broadsword , ready to do battle with the next evilmonger that comes by... While we aren't rolling bones here, there are plenty of dice tossing to see...

Ok not my best shot at all, I couldn't get the lense to focus on the minutiae of the figure near or far, so this is my best attempt. I do like the muted background...

....Why are we here?
Because we're here
Roll the bones...

Day 142/365 - just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down....

Wow a baby that likes taking his medicine. The first day we tried to give this to him he wouldn't take it, perhaps he wasn't used to this new flavor being literally injected into his mouth, but every other dose after that , it seems he was relishing the taste of this stuff. He needed to be on this for 9 days after his little scare with pneumonia or viral infection on Mother's day. Well all better now and he's eating up a storm these days!!

My typical close up, needed the flash on this one to have any chance of getting a clear, crisp shot. Michelle squeezes the medicine in ever so gently and baby wide eyed drinks it all down...

...in the most delightful way....

Day 141/365 - A B C D E F G.....

Thought I'd brighten it up in here with a little color, plus I was struggling for pictures that day. Well this is the side of Brendon's new exersaucer. Once he is able to walk we don't have to worry about hiim going anywhere, you end up walking in circles in this thing. He likes sitting in it already, full of smiles, yet not coordinated enough yet to play with any of the attachements.

Simple macro using the overhead can lighting for brightness, no flash needed. Always a good time when I don't need the flash indoors.

...next time won't you sing with me.....

Day 140/365 - It's a good time, for the great taste....

Ok that's an easy caption to come up with this time. I took CJ to Mcdonald's last friday to spend a little father-son time before his dance. Not a place that I go to eat more than once a year, him on the other hand , he could live on this stuff if he was allowed. I sat and talked and had some french fries while he chomped down on a rather large double quarter pounder (No onions)....

close up macro shot, great detail and contrast of colors, not a bad shot of something simple...

...of Mcdonald's.....

Day 139/365 - In the bright shop window sits the polar bear...

Looking around the house for some shots this day. I saw my polar bear lamps on my desk in the computer room. Why not take a closeup of those lit up. I know these are kind of kitschy lamps but I remember getting one when I was younger and always wanted another after the cleaning lady we had broke the first one a bit. It still works it's just that the baby polar bear is missing. I picked one up in 2007 with Michelle after our weeklong camping trip :)

I had to speed up the shutter on this one since the picture kept getting washed out. This one looks a little dimmer then the RAW format looks but It's a neat shot I think...

...Makes the childrens eyes light up to see him there...

(Queen - Polar Bear song)

Day 136/365 - Dont you want me baby?....

OUT OF ORDER POSTING

Brendon feeling all better the next day after his little run in with pneumonia. We just got him off the IV and he finally got to move more than 3 feet from the crib at the hospital. Here he lies on momma eyes transfixed on the television!! They start young being addicted to that crazy screen!!

Macro shots had to move back across the room to get all of him in. Notice the open bag of popcorn, he didn't eat any , don't worry!! I know he wanted some though!!

....Don't you want me -oh oh oh ho....

Day 138/365 - I should've had a V8

Driving along Route 20 in Oxford I noticed this fruit and vegetable stand on the side of the road. I stopped as I thought this would be a great photo opportunity for something different. I took a few pictures and the owner of the stand came up to me and asked who I was. Just taking some pictures, I said, and mentioned that I'd be putting some up on a few websites. He loved the idea that his fruit stand would be getting some pictures out there for others to see. It's a fruit and vegetable farm based out of Hadley mass, all of the fruit and vegetables are grown locally and looked great! It's great to see some local produce for good prices, it helps out us for getting cheap, healthy eats, and the farmers to sustain a living. Check him out if you are in Oxford on Route 20 not far from Periwinkles. Bill will be sure to give you a smile and thanks for stopping by!!!

Great shot of the produce under the tent. I like this shot because it's something different from my normal shots and the interaction with the people gives more to the photo to me...

...Get straight, have a V8....

Day 137/365 - (Workin') At the car wash....

Ah we went to the carwash before grocery shopping tonight and I wanted to get some pics from inside of these things. Of course all the windows had to be closed and after they sprayed the windshield with soap I couldn't see anything, until we wipered the window. The big things on each side remind me of big league chew gum or something to that effect.

Surprising clear shot for being shot through the window of the car. There were only a few others that were even worthy of posting so I chose this one, good colors in the shot...

...Workin' at the car wash, girl....

Day 135/365 - My mommy helps me when I'm sick. My mommy helps me when I'm blue.....

Oh poor Brendon. We ended up at the hospital on Mother's Day. Brendon was running a high fever and after calling the doctor he suggested going into the emergency room. We got there, they ran tests and determined he had a small pneumonia, poor little guy and poor MOM!! She was so worried (as was I) about the little guy and all of this on what is supposed to be her day to be pampered. Well the baby needed pampering this day (no pun intended). This is the view out of the window of his room we stayed in overnight as he got better. You are looking at Route 95 and the East bay (Naragansett) I think.

I included a whole panoramic view this time, no macro, shot through a window from the 4th floor of the hospital. No glare just a bit washed out feeling to it.

...My mommy helps me when I'm sad.
Thanks, Mom, for all that you do!....

(Happy Mother's Day Michelle!!!)

Day 134/365 - I've got a bike. You can ride it if you like...

Michelle's dad came down on Saturday to celebrate mother's day with her. He biked from his house in Hudson, MA 40 miles down to our house. All of this on this bike which is known as a recumbent. It's called so because of the position you are sitting in it while riding, the recumbent position. "Go figure!" They are neat bikes and I want to try riding it at least once, if he lets me ! some day... He's got a GPS he uses on this as well as a voltage meter he built to monitor the battery he wired up to power the electronics on this thing. Geeky for sure, but even cooler than that!!!

Simple portrait shot as he left from his visit with us. Nice bike, neat mechanics, good photo I thought...

....It's got a basket, a bell that rings and things to make it look good...

Day 133/365 - inside out and round and round..

A little dinky carnival is going up in the parking lot across from Target in Seekonk. These are one of those ring tossing, carousel riding, fried dough eating kind of carnivals. It's still being setup at the moment. I never really like those types of places myself but...

I opted for this shot of the day because I couldn't decide and it was different from the usual things I see everyday. The sky was a gray blue due to the wet weather , but the colors of the chairs stand out quite well...

...upside down boy, you turn me...

Day 132/365 - The power that's inside Pokemon!......

Ahh CJ's Nintendo DS case sitting here on the carpet in his room. He loves that thing as much as I liked my gameboy when that was the best thing out there. He still plays and plays and plays Pokemon games on this thing, that's all I ever see him play even with the boatload of other games he has.. ah well, his choice...

Played around with the case on the floor in different postions. This one shows the metal case and the texture of it as well as the fibers in the carpet it sits on. Bland colors in this shot for what is an otherwise colorful game.

....Ooooh, you're my best friend, In a world we must defend, Pokemon!....

Day 131/365 - In the cool of the evening when everything is gettin kind of groovy.....

One of my favorite authors lines the shelves of my bookshelf at home. I have always liked Stephen King ever since I was a young lad. Funny thing is that I don't like horror movies but I enjoy the books, perhaps because I can envision what I think the scenes look like as opposed to someone "stretching" their adaption of the book to film.

I like how this shot looks, nothing spectactular about the setup. I turned on the overhead can light and aimed it at the bookshelf to help with the lighting, but otherwise not too much effort into the shot, still cool though..

....love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you.....

Day 130/365 - I want to ride my bicycle.....

On the way home or up north at least I finally pulled into the rest area for a quick break. I've always wanted to check out the bike path here behind the Dunkin's and police station and I finally did. It is a very nice path at the start of it here and hopefully one of these days I'll ride a bit of it.

A gray day out and I took the camera down to ground level and snapped this shot. I like the way the yellow line looks from a close view like this. Great colors from the leaves in the tree. You can see the asphalt was a bit wet from the spring showers.

... I want to ride my bike....

Day 129/365 - All I can say is that my life is pretty plain..

Plain picture today, well the surface of this fruit is actually quite detailed if you look at it. Such a random pattern of webbing envelopes this lovely canteloupe.

Simple macro shot for the day, light from overhead skylights infused the picture.

..I like watching the puddles gather rain....

Day 128/365 - When a man loves a woman Can't keep his mind on nothing else.......

Ok, really not much today either, but these are a neat puzzle toy I have. The object is to get the two pieces apart and back together again. If I have to explain why I chose this title, you don't get it... oh well..

I just dropped this in place, ok placed on the glass table and took a few shots. The ones with the flash came out best.

....He'll trade the world For the good thing he's found.....

Day 127/365 - Im on your side. when times get rough And friends just cant be found....

Downtown Burillville is where you'll find this pretty bridge. It traverses a nice waterfall and sits across from the new town library. It was pretty quiet here today when I stopped on my way back from Michelle's parents house picking up the gazebo they gave us. I needed some pics so I stopped over here and snapped some nature pics and this....

I got down low and snapped this shot. Notice the bright yellow bush (forsythia?) at the end as well. Great shadows from the setting sun. If I had more time I may have tried something else with the shadows....

...Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.....

Day 126/365 - Little Jack Horner Sat in a corner, Eating his Christmas pie....

What do we got here ? Is it a plumb bob ? It sure looks like one, yet no, it's a part of the cantilever type lamp that Eric and Jackie gave me. You pull down on this piece and the lamp part goes up. I've always liked the lamp and one day Jackie finally offered it to me since they no longer used it! Cool. This part of it looks an awful lot like a plumb bob though.... Plumb bob, what a dumb word...

Simply pointed and "shooted" Nice reflection of light in the metal.

...He put in his thumb, And he pulled out a plum, And said, "What a good boy am I!".....

Day 125/365 - Got Formula ?

Last picture of April , the baby! Brendon just finishing up a good feeding of formula. Apparently a little bit still left inside the mouth there he thought he'd pose for the camera while it dribbled on out. He's such a ham for the camera always wide eyed and ready to give me some great faces. Proud mama is holding him here :)

....Milk it does a body good....
(in this case formula!)

Day 124/365 - Stand in the place where you live

Quiet day for pictures but I managed to snap this of the small japanese maple in the backyard. I planted this last year after someone we know gave it to us. It looked pretty dead after I planted it but I figured it may come back this year. It's looking good so far, perhaps it's got it's new legs to stand on now....

Simple shot with the sun behind may created some great colors in this shot. I love the dark reds of the leaves and the contrasting greens in the background....

....If wishes were trees, the trees would be falling Listen to reason
Season is calling....
