Day 272/365 - Oh yes, wait a minute Mister Postman.....

I took a picture of something I walk by everyday, imagine that. I was trying to get less frustrated with my lack of creativity and just take some simple pictures of things I normally pass on over, of course from different angles, perhaps I'll do another shot from a different angle tomorrow, who knows....

nice texture, nice clarity, you can still read everything ....

...if there's a letter in your bag for me.......

Day 271/365 - I'll stop the world and melt with you....

Ahh nothing like a big tall glass of grape juice to cool my mouth down after the buffalo wings we made this night. We made 3 different levels of hotness and the hottest ones were a bit spicy, whew.... Michelle never has a problem but her lips were tingling too after those... mmm mmm good....

Closeup of the drink, wasn't sure how it would come out but I liked the outcome...

...you've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time....

Day 270/365 - The eensy, weensy, spider.....

Gross, there are so many different nasty spiders around here, I can't wait until the first frost to get rid of these things. Some of them are downright huge. This one hung on a web outside our sliding door it looked as if he was stuck on his own web. I don't know what kind of spider this is, but it doesn't look good to me...

Neat shot with the blurred background reflected off the glass.

...went up the water spout.....

Day 269/365 - Here's lookin' at you kid....

I didn't have many shots from this day I realized but there always seems to be one of the baby in there somehow, ha ha.... Here he is just playin in the crib for a moment after his bath. He's lookin' at his daddy with the camera , as usual... As if to say, come on Dad, enough already...

Used flash, but nice bright colors on this.

... a cha cha cha cha

Day 268/365 - Let there be light....

Blah!!! I have nothing, having issues with graininess in my pictures today, I have to check my settings out on the camera...

...and there was light...

Day 267/365 - One little monkey jumping on the bed....

I was trying some new techniques with my camera, specifically lighting and objecting in a dark room. I have used this figure before but with the different textures I thought it was a good subject, so here he is again. Plus he was close at hand.

I don't like the fact that it is very grainy in the dark areas, in the small picture you don't notice it, but blown up you see a lot of artifacts.... I'll keep at it..

...he fell off and bumped his head...

Day 266/365 - Boys and girls of every age Wouldn't you like to see something strange?.....

We had some homemade pizza tonight from Michelle's friends' that came over, I had a few shots of the unfinished pizza dough however, they were a bit fuzzy. This is the front cover of Family Circle , I thought the pumpkins looked cool all lined up and I managed to get just them in the picture from the cover.

I had to move the magazine around a bit and play with the lighting to get this the way I wanted.

...Come with us and you will see
This, our town of Halloween....
(Nightmare before Christmas)

Day 265/365 - 99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer....

Well I can't believe there are only 99 days until Christmas Eve and I'm still going through with this crazy project. It has been very rewarding at times and downright frustrating as well. I sometimes have these great ideas in my head and other days draw blanks. You get the picture, and you SEE the pictures....

I set this up on a shelf in the closet. I couldn't quite get it in the focus I wanted at the frame I wanted. That's a vinyl 6 foot Heineken picture by the way...

...You take one down and pass it around.. only 99 more pictures to go...

Day 264/365 - Ze moon! Ze June! Ze spoon! C'est l'amour!! C'est toujours!....

I happened to glance out the back window and saw this little guy prancing through the yard! Of course I had to try and get a few pictures of him so I followed him around the house until I got a few good shots. I was far enough away and didn't scare him so I was in no danger of getting sprayed. If I did it was all in the name of photography..

I took a ton of shots trying to get one where he would stay still, the outdoor sky wasn't helping my shot and the flash was of no use at this distance.

....All is love in fair and war....
(Pepe Le Pew)

Day 263/365 - He's Winnie the Pooh Winnie the Pooh.....

I was out of ideas today and I was trying something with this nightlight in Brendon's room. I actually somewhat like this picture although the lack of something interesting to shoot today is a bit frustrating. I'm closing in on my goal, albeit still a ways to go, everyday gets closer and harder to come up with something...

"frustrated"

.....Willy nilly silly old bear....

Day 262/365 - With that honky tonk badonkadonk.....

Woah nelly.. I stopped at the nursery on the way back from Sturbridge and met this little fella stickin' his snot over the fence. His brother had already got over or under the fence somehow and he wanted out to. Here he tries to eat the camera....

I like this shot because it's quite comical...

...Got it goin' on
Like Donkey Kong....

Day 261/365 - Oh but aint that america for you and me Aint that america were someting to see baby Aint that america, home of the free.....

Here are the buildings at the front of the park at Storyland. I liked the bright colors with the sun coming over the tops and the big ominous clods in the background. It was a nice warm day in the 70s. This was taken fright before we were about to leave. The park wasn't busy at all, hence the clear shot with no people.

Nice clear, bright, colorful...

...Little pink houses for you and me....
(John Mellencamp)

Day 260/365 - Everyday it's a-gettin' closer.....

Here's a shot of CJ and Michelle on the rollercoaster at Santa's Village. I stood on the sidelines with Brendon while they went around a few times. You can see CJ is having a good time with his hands in the air.

A bit blurry but that's what it's all about , it shows the ride in motion that way....

...goin' faster than a rollercoaster....

Day 259/365 - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

We went up to Santa's Village with the kids last weekend and I hadn't a shot for the day, what better than to pay with the camera outside to get a night shot. I managed to get one that not only included the sign but the bushes beneath. The first few shots were just bright floating signs in a black background, not what I wanted, I'm learning to use this thing better... :)

...everywhere we go....

Day 258/365 - I'd like to walk you through a field of wildflowers.....

I stopped off for a quick bite to eat near the beach in Jamestown and what picture do I post. This one of a field of yellow flowers all in bloom. I took a bunch through the fence at flower-level to get the vast expanse of them in the shot.

I like the depth of view, some clear while others are not in focus, it continues into the background that way.

....I want to check you for ticks...

Day 257/365 - Jeepers, creepers, where'd you get those peepers....

This is a hint of things to come, we are a ways off from the next project , however someone is starting to emerge from their hiding place to get into the spotlight. Here is just a closeup of part of him.....

I like the dark background against the bright eyes.

....jeepers, creepers, where'd you get those eyes...

Day 256/365 - Lay my hands on heaven and the sun and the moon and the stars....

I really didn't have much this day, I thought his came out kind of interesting by taking this candleholder and putting it in front of a light to get this effect.

Just had to line it up right and shoot...

...this is the only time I really feel alive...
(NIN)

Day 255/365 - All in all it's just.....

Here is a little part of the retaining wall I've been building. It's an ongoing process for the past month or 2 . It's been a bit busy around here and not enough time on the weekends to get it all done..

Nothing special about this shot.

...another brick in the wall...
(Pink Floyd)

Day 254/365 - I fell right through the cracks.....

Trying for a new self portrait this month and really, I had nothing , this is shot on the back porch with the remote shutter to take the picture. I see a football in the shot, oops, didn't realize it was there until now. I think I'm gonna try another self portrait this month...

A bit grainy with the dim lighting..

...now I'm trying to get back...
(Jason Mraz)

Day 253/365 - Look at me I'm Brendon B......

I only had pictures of the baby this day so I picked through them and liked this one. Here he is crawling underneath his jungle walker. He seems to love crawling underneath anything he can, a lot of times he'll roll over on his back and play with whatever is hanging down, he looks like a little mechanic under thear. Here he just looks content.

I played with the lighting from the sun pouring in through the windows. The shadows aren't quite what I wanted but I like the picture...

....Just keep your cool now your starting to drool......
(Grease)

Day 252/365 - Take me out to the ballgame.....

We were treated to an event at McCoy stadium from Michelle's work. Sullivan and Company. I barbecue for 2 hours before watching the Pawsox play. We were treated to being able to see Daisuke (Dice-K). I capture plenty of shots of the game and crowd, I liked this one a lot.

I love the blurred crowd, it reminds me of one of those baseball video games, where all the people in the stands were just a mishmash of colors, He was really interested in what was going on in the game though....

...buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks....

Day 250/365 - Theres a lady whos sure All that glitters is gold And shes.....

I took a side road on my way back to Smithfield and ended up near the Woonsocket reservoir. I didn't know where I was for a moment but continued on the road to get back to civilization. Sometimes there is a flowing waterfall here, but the gatehouse and dam where deserted. I thought these were stairs that went up beyond the wall into nothing...

I like the bright green grass and the decaying stairs and concrete wall here. Nothing special but a neat shot I thought...

...buying a stairway to heaven....
(Led Zeppelin)

Day 251/365 - All the leaves are brown.....

What did I do here, I picked up the rake pointed it into some sunlight and snapped a couple closeups. I thought it looked rather neat and I kept this one for my shot.

Click...

...and the sky is grey...
(Mamas and the Papas)

Day 249/365 - There's a place Where I can sit Just me, myself and I .....

I don't know what this is, it looks like some sort of old waterfountain that is now overgrown with weeds due to lack of use or care. It sits across the street from this long entrance way to what is now some sort of hospital in Attleboro. The building is reminiscent of some golden age of mansions and the like, yet it has been converted into a hospital. The grounds here are immaculate and serene, even being right behind a Stop & Shop. You can't even tell....

I love the natural lighting I got here and the unique shapes and textures with the full frame shot....

....On my pond (on my pond)
On my pond....

Day 248/365 - Youre so vain, you probably think this song is about you.....

This is a shot out my frnot door the other day as the sun was setting behind the trees, I didn't think it would come out quite as good as it did. It's hard to get any sunset shots from the house, too many trees and obstacles (houses) on all four directions. I need to drive out somewhere for those...

Simple point and shoot trying to capture a great sunset sky....

...I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and......
(Carly Simon)

Day 247/365 - I have often walked down this street before; But the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before.....

I was looking for something to shoot today, something at all. This was on my way home in my work car, shot through the window to try and capture the peaceful look of the street near mine. I think I capture the moment somewhat.

A little glare and reflection from the glass in the car but otherwise I like the simplicity of this one.

...Let the time go by, I won't care if I
Can be here on the street where you live....
(My Fair Lady)

Day 246/365 - Who's gonna win Who's gonna survive Who's going in Who's staying alive.....

The next day at the hospital I took a stroll while Mommy and Baby slept, I get antsy all cooped up in the same room for so long. I shot this out of the window near the bank of elevators. I could have used a more personal photo of the baby, but he had all those tubes and wires attached to him, so I chose the stark buildings instead as a post. This was taken the day the Hurricane Dan was passing by....

Simple shot, a bit dark, I took a few others from the same vantage point, but the long open shutter got them a bit washed out. This one is decent I thought.

...Who's gonna win Who dares to try
Who's gonna Ride The Hurricane's Eye.....
(RedNex)

Day 245/365 - take me down to a paradise city.....

Not much you can take pictures of when you are stuck at the hospital with a sick little one. I did enjoy the view out of the hospital window though, great city scapes out there towards Providence.

I framed this one, using my 70mm to 300mm lense and kept it as still as I could. It's a tiny bit blurry but acceptable for me. Neat looking building at night...

...where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.....
(GNR)

Day 244/365 - In the red room, with red curtains.....

I only had some pictures of my dinner I cooked tonight which was a sausage and pepper stew, tasted quite good by the way. I was looking for something around the house to capture and the red glow of the closed curtains enticed me so I took a few shots. The cat was behind the curtains for a moment but he took off.

I like the deep red color here, the light at the top is the clearing in the trees outside...

...near the station. Black-roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings....
(Cream)
