Day 308/365 - You can ring my be-e-ell, ring my bell.....

I drove around after work in the monastery again looking for some nice colors with the setting sun. This captured my attention. The bright yellow tree with the old stone building behind and the large bell in front.. Just a neat place, a neat picture....

Day 307/365 - I can take you higher I'm on fire.....

The furnace wasn't working when I got home, so while we waited for the oil guy to come over , I thought I'd light a fire, it doesn't really heat the place much but it looks great and is rather warm when you sit in front of it.

I capture these neat colors attempting different angles and setting without getting too too close to the flames...

Day 306/365 - I keep on fallin' in and out of love with you.....

Damn the yard is covered again with leaves, this isn't going to be fun to rake up... Ugh... I'm dreading it, maybe I'll wait a bit longer they are still falling....

Day 304/365 - red, gold and orange... red, gold, and oraaaaange....

Looking for fall foliage this week, this was one of many I took and I thought the colors in this one stood out very nice. Very autumnal colors of some side of the road bushes....

Day 303/365 - cuz when the sun goes down we'll be groovin....

Day after the wedding we were heading out to do some shopping and on the way back we saw this amazing sky . I stopped on a side road and snapped this from my car window..

Day 302/365 - It's a nice day for a....

I needed a picture for today , the wedding day , and they wouldn't let me take my camera to the wedding, so I was forced to take something beforehand. Well I didn't have a tripod and putting the camera up on the tv was rather difficult to focus, so I handed the camera my friend Jackie, after I focused in on the area, I then used my remote shutter to take the picture, so it was still me taking the photo, she was just my tripod!!

Day 301/365 - Don't worry baby, you know I won't go far....

I was banished from the house the night before the wedding so I chose to stay at this great Bed and Breakfast the night before and the night of the wedding. First night arrived alone, put my camera on the bridge heading to the front porch and snapped this shot. Not the best and I didn't take much time so it's one of the few I got that day...

Too much light from the left side , used the porch as the tripod ...

Day 299/365 - Dont go chasing waterfalls.....

I hate that song but it's a waterfall and I couldn't think of anything else for the title that was a song about waterfalls. I have been struggling this week for pictures and was just pointing at things around the house. I thought this one came out rather cool...

Adjusted the aperture and speed.

Day 298/365 - Your love is like a rollercoaster baby.....

I was trying all kinds of different shots here on CJs rollercoaster and couldn't quite get what I wanted. I like this shot of the track with the blurred background. It's a cacophony of colors back there and it makes the picture that more interesting to me at least. It's not the picture I was going for, but it'll have to do...

Day 297/365 - Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy.....

I stopped by Purgatory chasm on the way home from work the other day and thought there would be some cool sunlight coming in there and there was. I took so many cool pictures and didn't know what to post, rocks, leaves, trees, lots of rocks, a real lot of rocks, ha ha.. I Thought this came out quite nice , albeit dark, but it shows how the sunlight pierced the chasms foliage ..

...adjusted aperture and speed based on metering off of the grey rocks.....

...Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry.....

I wasn't going to use this shot, but then I looked at what the score was and figured I'd post it, I was just fooling around with the camera at that point trying to get a better angle on the tv from my vantage point which wasn't working, oh well, the score was cool 59-0!

Day 295/365 - Underneath the arches I dream my dreams away.....

Before my bachelor party the other day my friend and I drove around to pass time, we stopped at the Blue Hills reservation area and came across this old mounted police building. It is all closed up and decaying thanks to the new governor.

I tried many shots in different angles and white balance as well as exposure and aperture to get the one I wanted. I liked this shot from this angle.

Day 294/365 - When I wake up in the mornin' light I pull on my jeans and I feel all right.....

I was trying something different although it's hard to take a picture of something your wearing and can't get the focal distance I needed, but hey it's different .

Tried a few angles without seeing in the viewfinder makes things difficult.

Day 293/365 - Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue.....

A portrait of the little one, always playing with something. He likes paper, either to try and eat or to play with. We don't need to buy and fancy toys just give him a box, a piece of paper, and a spoon and he's all good...

Using the 50mm prime lense and adjusting white balance, flash fill to spot, and aperture...

Day 292/365 - All I wanna do is have some fun...

Tried a few shots of this gorgeous sunset from the car on the way down to Foster tonight. This one came out the best, I'm still learning how to take sunset pictures eventually I'll get it right.

Here you see some glare reflected above the sun in the picture and the foreground very dark looking, although the clouds look great...

...until the sun goes down over Santa Monica Boulevard.....

Day 291/365 - Ein Bett im Kornfeld, das ist immer frei....

We had a fall outing with work and part of the day involved walking through a corn maze, they all cheated and used a map to get out, although even with just using the hints it would have been a bit tricky to get out.. Neat place though, I snapped a few shots in there and was struck by this one as one of the best.

The camera was still set to my manual S setting and I didn't realize it but the picture came out rather cool

Not much today , but I snapped this of a pepper mill and salt grinder on the dining room table. Not a bad shot, just nothing spectacular today either. They can't all be winners...

Day 289/365 - Promise me, Red. If you ever get out... find that spot. At The base of that wall.

We took a nice walk the other day and on the way back I noticed this wall in the fading sunlight and snapped a few pictures. If you look close you can see a few red berries growing as well, that is what caught my eye . I didn't quite get the colors I wanted with this shot, but there is always post processing for that.

Day 288/365 - Well, well, well you just can't tell.....

Trying out my new prime lense at home I took a bunch of pictures and I snapped a few of Michelle, well this one came out quite nice, it's a simple shot, posed only for that second she looked at the camera and smiled. She was showing off her curled hair she just had done at the st ylist prepping for our upcoming wedding ! :)

A little bit darker than I wanted and a teeny bit blurry but a great shot otherwise...

Day 287/365 - Flaming flowers that brightly blaze, Swirling clouds in violet haze, Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue.....

This reminds me of some impressionist painting, just immersed in a woodland scene, very surreal looking, not sure what else I can say about it, it was a nice shot taken on the Monastery trails.

Lowered exposure a bit to bring out the colors

Day 286/365 - Red red wine you make me feel so fine.....

In tribute to Stefan on his own quest of a 365 project I decided to try out my new light tents and use these little guys as the test subjects. Here they sit talking about their plans to take over the galaxy.

I like the way this shot came out. I placed them in a light tent and positioned the lighting in just the right spot as to not give any harsh shadows. Just a subtle shadow of the figures lies beneath...

....you keep me rockin' all of the time...

Day 285/365 - There was green alligators and long-necked geese Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees.....

I was told this building used to be an elephant house so I went to check it out. Well it was a big old abandoned shed type place. When I got there , there were a bunch of kids hanging out inside of it smoking and chilling. They saw me come up with my phone in one hand and camera bag in the other and not long after they all took off. Perhaps they thought I was going to report them all. I don't know. Well inside wasn't much to see but some picnic tables plus I didn't enter as it stated No Trespassing. Ah well...

Not the greatest shot but of some interest to see the dilapitated boards and the undergrowth of the forest taking the space back.

....Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born The loveliest of all was the unicorn....

Day 284/365 - All along the watchtower, princes kept the view....

I had seen a picture and heard about a Zen monastery in Cumberland, RI but didn't know it really existed until I searched for it online and saw a picture. I headed over there after work and snapped quite a few pictures of this pagodah, pretty neat having something like this in town. I will have to go back, especially in the snow.

I used some more settings on my camera playing with WB and Exposure to capture the color of the sun. It was hard to get an angle on this that didn't make it look like it was leaning over, even this one looks that way a little even with the camera level...

Day 283/365 - I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free.....

I stopped by the monastery trails on the way home today and took a few pictures. I am going to post some up on facebook for a fellow photographer who loves this spot. I think a few of them came out really good. I like this one alot.

I tweaked the exposure setting down a notch, and adjusted the white balance a bit as well, also put the camera in daylight mode...


....But losing everything is like the sun going down on me.....

Day 282/365 - Don't throw the baby out with the bath water....

Another month I'm allowed to post another cute baby picture. He was so full of oatmeal and yogurt I needed to give him a bath and in the sink was just fine for him and me. He enjoyed his playtime and I got him all cleaned up...

quick clicks, can't take pics while the baby is in the sink easily...

....blame it on the drain, yeah yeah....

Day 281/365 - All the spices all lined up, I give you all that you want....

At my friend Jay's house he was showing us his unique spices he had ordered to cook with and I lined up a few of them for a photo shoot. They all sounded very tasty, maybe he'll cook some with these sometime for us...

An Ok shot, I don't like the bright reflections on the top right corner.

...now doesn't it make it taste better.....

Day 280/365- A bottle of red, a bottle of white It all depends upon your appetite......

We had our first date night since the baby was born 8 months ago! I took Michelle out to this nice italian restaurant in Lincoln, RI , dinner and the wine was great, the desserts were just there....nothing special.....

Took this picture rather quick as we were leaving so it came out a little blurry, I liked the colors and the lighting though....

Was looking for something at Jenn's house for a photo and placed the kids toy bus on the table and shot this. I liked it enough to post it, while nothing special it's a cute picture.

Simple picture shot no setting changes just the light from the chandelier.

Day 278/365 - mini mini mini mini wheats (strawberry flavour).....

Went to visit my friend Pam and outside her house were these large hay bale rolls. I never knew quite how large they were until I walked up to these. They are a good 5ft high and 5 to 8ft long. Wow. What a better shot of the day for me!!

I played with the exposure settings ont he camera and got this shot in a quickly darkening sky.

Day 277/365 - I take your order please? I highly recommend the combo #5!.....

This was an odd sight to see in front of me, I wasn't quite sure what I was following . Is it some weird molecular sculpture, some giant beach balls, no. It's actually some rather large tanks I assume propane tanks for homes or businesses, but from this angle it gave a neat shot...

Point and Click threw the windshield.

Day 276/365 - Welcome to my world....

Ok, I had said I wanted to put another self portrait shot in this month so here it is. I was just goofing around with the camera trying different things with my reflections and ended up with this off the side of a outdoor spotlight bulb.

Nothing special , like I said just a goof off 365 shot today, my first.. ha ha...

Day 275/365 - The great hero Kikkoman! Soy sauce makes the difference ......

At Asia Grille last week I set up this shot with my chopsticks and soy sauce bottle, I tried a few closeups of the food and other things but I thought this one fit the best.

A simple shot in low lighting, after learning a lot about lighting AFTER taking this picture I would have tried a few different approaches on this, but I like the shot, simple yet effective...

....Pour it, taste it, be amazed! ....

Day 274/365 - Don't blame us if we ever doubt you You know we couldn't live without you....

Snapped a few picture while we were out at BoxSeats having a bite to eat and went with this one, Unfortunately the Yankees are beating us. I notice how the bright TV stands out sooo much in the dark picture laden walls , it's called BoxSeats for a reason though....

Nothing special, a little noise in the picture on Auto ISO but you get the idea...

Day 273/365 - All the leaves are brown, the leaves are brown...

The leaves have started falling and fall is finally here, I like the changing colors happening everywhere.... This were a pile of leaves I moved around in the parking lot next to my car , I tried a few different shots and thought this one the best...

It has noticable blur in front and back, I'm learning about bokeh now and I can see some in here... I think the eye is attracted to the center of the picture more than anywhere else..

...and the sky is gray...
