Day 209/365 - Take your stinking paws off me you damn dirty ape....

A made shot today, I love this little Planet of the Apes character sitting on my desk, I'd like the rest of them in the collection as well, anybody ? I don't like Dr. Zaius at all but the figure is pretty cool...

I set this up with a brown paper background and a pendulum light off to the left side (obviously). I like the way the shot came out and may try more backgrounds with other figures after this one.

....You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!......

Day 208/365 - groovin'... on a Sunday afternoon....

Was dropping off my Audio CDs at the library and was closing the car door when I saw this older gentleman across the lot just reading his paper or whatnot. I thought that would make for a neat picture. I don't this person, I did my spy techniques and snapped a few shots....

I don't know what's going on in the picture behind this man, but the camera made it all wavy and funky looking, hmmm....

....I can't imagine anything that's better....

Day 207/365 - All you have to is tap it in....

One of the exits off the highway coming back into RI I needed gas and found this golf course along the way. A gray day a little rain and noone on the course, set up for a nice picture.

I like the great greens in this shot and the backward 18th hole flag made for a cooler shot then from the front side....

.....Just tap it in. Just tap it in......

Day 206/365 - There's smoething weird in the fridge today. I don't know what it is...

Another quiet day, and why not see what is in the fridge today, we had just gone grocery shopping the day before so it was well stocked. Front and almost center is my Orange Tangerine Lifewater, these are quite tasty, although a bit too much sugar I think.

Closeup shot in the fridn't, avoided the fridge door open shot frame which actually may have looked out if I cropped things, light from the fridge was enough...

...And living in the fridge....

(Weird Al cover of Aerosmith)

Day 205/365 - If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.....

A really quiet day didn't go out anywhere besides grocery shopping. Michelle put a dry rub on this and we let it chill in the fridge all day and then I cooked it up on the grill , tasty! I had put some garlic, paprika, onion, cilantro, and cayenne pepper into the mix with this.

Boring shot, closeup of a hunking piece of pork ribs...

....how can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!"

Day 204/365 - Money, Money, Money, must be funny...

Thought I'd take a closeup of the change I was counting the other day, it was an immense pile on the floor and my mind said, photo op! There was a good chunk of change to buy myself something nice with once I get it wrapped or dumped off at the bank.

Took the camera down low to the pile and used the sunlight from behind to get the lighting. A bit hazy from the sun, but I wanted it to be a bit less focused seems more surreal that way.

...in the rich man's world....

Day 203/365 - I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known...

Wanted to try some night shots so I drove out to the monastery last week to try some shots on the tripod and see what I could get. This is taken at the end of the entrance road to the library in Cumberland.

I like the shot a little, you can see because the shutter stayed open longer the red streak from a car that past as the picture was being shot. It came out a bit blurry for being on the tripod but it's kind of a neat shot. The light in the foreground is from my car's headlights. When I shut them off it was too dark to expose anything...

...Don't know where it goes but it's home to me, and I walk alone.....

Day 202/365 - I met him in a swamp down in Dagobah where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda....

Nothing today, I tried to take the 3 ghosts from the Empire Strikes back and do something different with the background. It didn't quite come out how I had hoped. It's a neat idea yet it wasn't completed the way I would have liked. I do like the effect created from the backlit monitor creating the shadowy silhouette look.

...I saw the little runt sitting there on a log, I asked him his name and in a raspy voice he said Yoda.....

Day 201/365 - Who's tripping down the streets of the city Smilin' at everybody she sees Who's reachin' out to capture a moment....

You wouldn't expect to find to many windmills in the United States and then particularly one as part of a store, the Christmas Tree shops. Yet this is part of the building on the way to the cape with a "working" windmill. It spins, not sure if it's electric or actually windpowered but it's quite impressive.

I walked up rather close and got this shot with the bright blue sky in the background. Love the detail of the shingles and the blade of the fan coming into view...

...everyone knows its Windy...

Day 200/365 - Feel the rhythm with your hands....

This is a little metal dog I picked up in Jackson, NH last year for Michelle, I thought it was cute and the fact that it is made out of spoons was kind of interesting as well. Not sure what you can do with him but display him on a shelf , but oh well, there he is.

Placed it on a few different backgrounds to get something I liked, I think this one with the clear in focus face and blurred rest was a good shot for my non-eventful day.

....Steal the rhythm while you can, spoonman.....

(Soundgarden)

Day 199/365 - Take me down to the paradise city Where the grass is green And the girls are pretty....

Ok this is anything but paradise here. This is a block away from the Providence mall running parallel to the train tracks and behind the 903 Condos. It is a rundown area of the city that I think they are eventually going to rip down. I know they took down another old building last year.

It looks like something out of a horror movie scene, an old abandoned ghost town, the shot came out a bit washed out with the bright sunlight yet it makes it that more unrealistic for such a real place.

...Take me home (Oh, won't you please take me home)....

Day 198/365 - Slip slidin' away Slip slidin' away.....

Here's part of the enormous swing set/slide setup at Jenn's house. Her Dad and Uncle spent a week putting this monstrosity together and it looks great. I opted for a closeup shot AGAIN getting a great lighting/shadow effect from the sunshine beaming through the tall trees overhead.

...You know the nearer your destination
The more you're slip slidin' away....

(Paul Simon)

Day 197/365 - Fish don't fry in the kitchen; Beans don't burn on the grill....

Didn't really like any of the poker shots from Deb's poker party for here so I opted for this one I took of a large fish decoration they have on their mantel. I enjoy the colors and the patterns on the fish and of course fish in general so.....

Neat shot, closeup, no flash, just overhead lighting capture the colors and shadows on this.

...Took a whole lotta tryin'
Just to get up that hill......

Day 196/365 - You must realize.....

Here's a little gift I got from germany at one point it's a little smoking man "raeuchermaennchen". You put these little incense cones underneath him and smoke comes out his mouth, it's pretty neat. They are quite expensive and a lot of people collect them apparently.

Took this shot in front of the bricks around the fireplace, the color is a bit red, perhaps since the rim is red and dimly lit, I like the look of it here though.

...smoke gets in your eyes...

(Platters)

Day 195/365 - I said, I'm sorry momma, I never meant to hurt you, I never meant to make you cry but tonight....

Another month and I can do a new self portrait. I had been looking around at other people's to get some ideas, I took all kinds today which I didn't post but were pretty cool, I thought this was definitely something unique for me.

I set up the tripod pointing towards the top of the closet and climbed up. The remote shutter works so great, I snapped a bunch in different poses and liked this the best...

...I'm cleanin' out my closet...

(Eminem)

Day 194/365 - Blue, blue, my world is blue...

I stopped by the library yesterday to pick up some books on CD. I drive around a lot during the day and this way I can learn some new things or hear some great stories. I'm listening to Jon Kerkauer's Into the Wild right now, sad but true story...

I decided to take the stairs exit and entered this grand hallway, I had to come back in after grabbing the camera from the car for this shot, such a great looking hallway , great detail in the arches, just wish we had sunlight flooding in through those windows..

...Blue is my world now I'm without you.....

(Frank Sinatra)

Day 193/365 - Put on your old brown shoes, right on your feet....

Wearing one of my favorite pairs of shoes I have, some people say they look like bowling shoes, I have those too, ha ha. But these are just a pair of comfortable shoes I picked up a few years ago.

Neat shot with a different perspective on the shoe. Used background light and normal lense on camera.

....time to move on, get away....
(Supertramp)

Day 192/365 - Saving nickels, saving dimes, working until the sun don't shine....

A little pond I've been to before on my way home from work, it's loaded with lily pads now! This is right off of a major road running through the city , you wouldn't know it though, quite serene for the busy proximity.

I like the way this shot came out with the sky light reflecting off the water, wasn't expecting the shot to work at all, I was kinda rushed.

...Looking forward to happier times on Blue Bayou....

Day 191/365 - And the rockets red glare.....

Cumberland fireworks were delayed until the 5th due to the nonstop rain we had been having , that day was scattered storms, so we waited until after the 4th to see them. The 20 minutes or so of blasting was capped off with a great finale. I brought the camera to snap as many pictures as I could to hopefully get some good ones..

I love the way this particular shot came out , the red, the lines, the hint of blue inside of the ball, great shot, and I don't notice the graininess in it like some of my other shots..

...the bombs bursting in air....

Day 190/365 - Swing low, sweet chariot.....

Another month another Brendon shot! This one happens to be on his 5 month old day! Wow he's getting so big already I can't believe how fast the time flies these days. Here he is so peaceful in his swing, zonked out from playing and doing baby things..

I like the shot with the bright blue background and nothing else just the boy...

...coming forth to carry me home...

Day 189/365 - Everybody's working for the weekend...

Stopped by Michelle's work with Brendon on Friday so he could visit with everyone. It was a quiet day there as a lot took an extra long weekend. I had it off so we went and visited. I love the building she works in as it is one of those old mill type buildings, it has great architectural detail with the high ceilings and exposed ductwork.

I pointed up at the ceiling and took this unique angle on things.

...Everybody's goin' off the deep end....

Day 188/365 - Stronger than yesterday....

Here sits one of my dumbbells that I do some light workouts with at night while watching the tele. It helps out with some arm strengthening and conditioning, I work that in with 75 pushups and 75 situps.

Just a closeup of the barbell, it's a little blurry as I was only using my hands to steady the camera in the low light....

...Now it's nothing but my way.

Day 187/365 - He's the greatest He's fantastic Wherever there's danger he'll be there....

Here's a shot of my gaming mouse I picked up a few years ago. One interesting thing about this mouse is that it has a removable weight cartridge on the bottom to add diffrent grams of weight, so if you want that heavy mouse for a game or you are busy with something arduous and need the light weight you have that option to...

Closeup shot , in low light, hand held, but achieved the effect I was looking for.

...He's the strongest he's the quickest he's the best Danger Mouse Danger Mouse DANGER MOUSE,,,

Day 186/365 - Cracklin rosie, get on board.....

Thought of some new ideas for taking shots, this one I pointed the camera at the parking space line next to my car, I thought it looked kind of interesting close up like this, at first glance it's hard to really realize what you are looking at. I like the crackled paint effect from the worn down stripe

Gray skies help with this shot not being washed out, in fact you can feel the grayness in the air I think.

....Were gonna ride till there aint no more to go....
